Description: I thought the book Bobby versus Girls was pretty good. The main character is boy named Bobby who used to be very good friends with a girl named Holly. At the beginning of the book Holly wins a goldfish at a fair and gives it to Bobby. Later Kasey, Bobby's little sister kills the goldfish by accident. Bobby gets pretty mad at his sister. Bobby then runs for student council representative but ends up running against Holly who is no longer friends with Bobby. When Bobby and Holly tie twice they have to choose who will be the representative. Bobby decides to let Holly be the representative and he will attend meetings when Holly cannot attend. After the election Bobby and Holly become friends again.
What I Thought of This Book: I thought this book was pretty good and a fast read. I thought it was sad how Bobby had trained his fish to do different tricks and his sister accidentally kills the fish. I thought it was funny when Bobby got stuck to the tree and had to have the field trip tour guide "unstick" him. Overall, this book was okay. I would have liked a little more action to occur in the book. I would recommend this book to readers who like short books that are a fast read. MGPS (2).
