Description: Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life is a book about a boy whose father died and left him a box to open when he's turns 13. The box gets delivered with a note that says the keys have been lost. Jermey and his best friend Lizzy look all over for the keys and end up getting into trouble. The police officer makes them do community service. They have to help an old man out by doing deliveries. Finally their job is done and the man who they were working for lets them pick something that they like out of house. Jeremy picks an old suitcase out that is full of different keys and other old antiques. When Jeremy and Lizzy get home and test all of the keys out on the box. They find three out of four of the keys that they need. On the day of his birthday Jeremy, his Mom and Lizzy go up to Jeremy's grandmothers house as a present Lizzy gives Jeremy the last key that they need to open the box. Inside the box they find a bunch of rocks that each represent a special moment of Jeremy's Dad's life. There is also the last card that Lizzy needed in her collection in the box. When Jeremy gets back he goes straight to the man who he had worked for. He tells Jeremy how the adventure had been all planned out.
Thoughts about the Book: I thought the book Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of life was a very good book. I liked how at the end the man they were working for told him how the whole adventure with the box had been planned out like when the post officer finally gave in and let Jeremy take the box without an adult. I thought it was nice how Jeremy and Lizzy did everything together including finding the keys to the box. Overall I really liked the book, I thought the book was very interesting. MGPS (3)
