Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo is about a boy named Leven who's mother died while giving birth to him. His Aunt Addy was the only family member alive, since his father died in an accident before he was born. His Aunt Addy hates him but takes him in. They move to a small mobile home in Oaklahoma, along with Addy's husband, Terry. Soon he hears a scratching noise under his bed on the porch. He looks under to find two small eyes peeking out at him. The small eyes belong to a little creature, called a sycophant, who is a little hairy creature. Then he starts an adventure with Clover (the creature), a girl named Winter and a "little" king.
