Summer Reading's done, and everyone has been called who won a prize. I want to thank all of you for your participation - hope you'll join me online next year for another round of fun! Lisa :)
Welcome to your Summer Reading WIKI for 2011!!
Here's how it works.
1. Read a book of 100 pages or more
2. Log on to the WIKI page
3. Click on "new page"
4. Import an image of the book's cover
5. Write a SHORT description of the book
6. Write a SHORT statement about why you liked the book.
7. Write your three initials after your statement (mine is LSH)
8. Write how many raffle tickets you get. (4) 9. NEW! How did I forget this part? You get 1 ticket for every 100 pages you read, so a book that's 320 pages = 3 tickets. If the book is at the 50 mark or more, you get to round up; for example, if the book you are reading is 353 pages, you get 4 tickets!
If you need an example of how this ends up looking, I created a page for Eon Dragoneye Reborn, so check it out.
For reading the book, creating a page, importing the book cover image, and writing your description and your opinion, you earn FOUR raffle tickets; then add on 1 ticket for every 100 pages. These tickets will be entered into the raffle**, and you could win one of the many exciting prizes we have this year! Full details about prizes will be posted here soon...but will include:
Best Buy Gift Card
Barnes and Noble Gift Card
Old Navy Gift Card
Abercrombie and Fitch Gift Card
Target Gift Card
Michael's Gift Card
Gamestop Gift Card
Free Surf Lessons
Free Ice Cream
Free Pizza
Free Bead Creative Lesson
Free Movie Tickets
Free Mini Golf
This list is subject to change...
**This year, your tickets go toward the general raffle, so you could win ANY of the prizes!
